We offer protection, a stable business model, constant work and accept any and all who are willing to have an open mind. What are the requirements for joining? Absolutely nothing. We're a union for the smart to become wealthy, the cunning to become powerful and the little guy to win against the big guy.

That's not the entire truth.

Once you've met with the leader of the organization, a mysterious woman known simply as The Red Doll, you'll come to understand that Interstellar is an underground union of criminals. Black market trading, illicit transportation of goods galaxy-wide and that's just to name a few protected models of business. Mercenaries, drug dealers, even people looking for honest work are accepted but there it but one agreement that it to be met without argument:

We are everywhere and we are nowhere. You don't talk about the Interstellar Mercs. We are simply known as Interstellar Incorporated.
